Bumbungan Eco Park, Cavinti, Laguna

After an exhausting trek to Pagsanjan Falls we drop by the Bumbungan Eco Park near the Salvador el Pablo nature park. It served as a wet bridge on the Lumban-Caliraya-Cavinti Road but when a bridge was build for a new road the wet bridge became an Eco park. The river that flows in the spillway was actually the water from the Pagsanjan Falls. The entrance at the park is just 10.00 pesos. You can swim, have a picnic and do some singing, they have karaoke for rent.

The water was so warm and the place is so wonderful. When we are changing our clothes we saw some fireflies it was beautiful. We just stayed there for 30 minutes because jeepneys are till 7:00 pm only. We had a great time and my sister is planning to have her debut there. I hope our mom would agree. It is a simple yet unique Eco park, it is definitely a place for the family.

The Creepy Oldies- Pagsanjan Falls

We had this creepy experience at the Pagsanjan Falls or Cavinti Falls, while we are having a quite good time at the falls a group of old women came and do some rituals at the devil's cave. While they are doing the rituals the weather kind of got bad. And its creeeepy deeky! They had the props like the flower crowns, red candles, wands with flowers at the end and they all wear white shirt. We didn't bother to ask or intrigue anything from them because we are scared. So we decided to go home. On our way up, we were shocked 'coz they actually reached us! Their age ranges from 35 - 50 and I cannot believe that they are about to overtake us. I mean we are halfway up and they appear like POOF! As we where going up we had some chitchats. They have an organization who believes in Engkanto (fairy), Lamang lupa and everything. They said they did some rituals at the cave to dismiss evil doings or something like that. And they believe they have powers. They told us we should be careful to some locals giving us some foods or gifts 'coz they might give us some powers or sickness. I was kinda trembling with their stories. They also trek to some mountains and places where they believe have some evil spirits and pray for it and do some rituals.

We reached the top where we rest for a while and the old ladies keep on telling stories. One of them said "You should pray before going into adventures. Some of the people who goes on trekking looses their minds and go crazy" and I sort of giggle and said "It's not funny, nothings funny"  with a horrid face. And I was like oooooh ok and look away. We went home first because one of their members are still on the way up. It was really creepy to hear their stories and to actually witness them do some rituals, well sort of witness them. I don't know if I would believe in their stories but they are Catholics, and uhh I don't know haha. Its an unforgettable experience though!

Pagsanjan Falls via Cavinti, Laguna

Laguna is a place of bliss just 2 hours away from Manila. Pagsanjan falls is a very well known falls in the Philippines, but the fact is that it is located in Anglas, Cavinti Laguna. Locals call it Magdapio falls or Cavinti falls. There are two ways to get to the falls: first an expensive but thrilling ride from Pagsanjan Laguna , second an adventurous and exciting hike from Cavinti Laguna. Since I love adventures we took the second way to Cavinti Laguna.

This is the sign at the entrance of the nature park. From the entrance we walk apprx. 100 meters to the office, we register and pay for the entrance fee and the rappelling fee. After that the guy at the office give us some reminders and rules on going down the falls. We followed the cemented pathway and some muddy path. I was amazed by the Santol tree around the cemented path the fruits just lay there decayed and there was like a sack of them! Its kinda expensive in Manila. We also passed a small mountain stream, the water is crystal clear and we tried a bit of it its a little bit sweet and amazingly cold.

DIY Ombre hair

     The french-termed hair trend is called Ombre. The ombre hair refers to a hair style with dark roots fading to light colors at the end.It has been a trend to most of Hollywood actresses like Chanel ImanJennifer Hudson, Naomi Campbell, Raven-Symone.  I tried to do an ombre hair style to myself and here's a tutorial for you guys. Here is a normal ombre;

So I tried a bolder ombre for me I want some shades of red to my hair. First move is to make sure you have strong hair, by strong hair what I mean is that your hair should not be damaged or just gone to hair coloring and some hair stuffs. And if you are not sure doing this to yourself better visit the salon near you. Having ombre at salon may cost you around 3000.00 pesos and above. By doing it to yourself may cost around 500.00 to 1000.00 pesos only. Big savings huh? Here are the list of the things you need:

A rainy afternoon

Its 10:00 in the morning and I feel sleepy because of the weather. There's another storm in the country, luckily not that strong. I was staring at the window mesmerized by the raindrops that falls from the sky. Then I saw the flowers at our garden some of it fell because of the heavy rain. I suddenly felt the urge to take some pictures of the beautiful flowers. I felt that the plants are sad because of the rain.....

After an hour or so the rain stopped. I can see the the sun peeping through the sky. Then I thought the plants are not sad during the rain 'coz it also need some water to live. It gives them energy and food to produce more gorgeous flowers.

Kalachuchi or Temple flower
Kalachuchi is used as a fresh floral necklace or bracelet in many beaches here in the Philippines. It is a simple plant that can be seen in many gardens in the country. We have like 8 pots of Kalachuchi in our garden. I also love plants I do some gardening if I'm not busy, some of the Kalachuchi was planted by my grandmother so I really take care of them. Its like a remembrance from my grandma.

Euphorbia
Don't exactly know what species of Euphorbia this is. But it is so pretty. This one is colored pink with strikes of yellow. They are a dangerous plant if you mishandled this. They have thorns and a milky sap, when your planting this you should wear protective gloves. My grandma said that they don't love waters, they only need enough water to live. Rainy weather reminds me of many things just like my grandma. AS the saying says "There is always a rainbow after the rain."

Places to visit in Tagaytay

If you are planning on visiting Tagaytay best is bring a car, there are few jeepneys in tagaytay so it is difficult to commute.Tagaytay is best for family bonding.
First you may visit People's Park in the Sky.

This place was formerly known as Palace in the sky. This was built by former president Marcos for President Ronald Regan and his first lady for their visit in the Philippines. Unfortunately, it was not finished because of political issues during that time. Now, it has become a tourist spot in Tagaytay. It is the highest peak in Tagaytay with the a beautiful view of Taal lake, Laguna de bay and the whole Tagaytay City.

Trek/Horse ride to Taal Volcano main crater

So this happened April of 2011. I know it is late, but i still wanna share my adventure to Taal's crater.

At that time we don't really have plans on going to the crater we just wanna chill at Tagaytay. We planned to eat our lunch at picnic groove but when we arrived  the place is crowded there are many people at that time so we don't have place to stay or eat that is when a guy approached us and he ask my mom if we want to see the crater of the volcano. I was thrilled with what I heard, we all agreed to have an adventure and avail the package the guy was offering us.  We took our lunch at the resort (I forgot the name of that place) then rest for a while and we rode a boat going to the bottom of the Taal volcano.
